How far ahead should I book an event in West Michigan?
Peak Saturdays from June through early October get claimed six to twelve months out, especially for anything over 100 guests. Graduation season in late May and early June is the tightest window on our calendar. Smaller weekday events often come together in two or three weeks, so call and ask even on short notice.
Do you plan the whole event or only supply the rentals?
Both, depending on what you need. Most customers want the rental side planned properly, which means guest count to tent size, floor plan, delivery window, setup and teardown. We are not booking your caterer or your band, but we coordinate with them on timing and space so everyone lands where they are supposed to.
What towns do you cover?
Holland, Zeeland, Hudsonville, Jenison, Allendale, Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Hamilton, West Olive, Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville and Allegan, plus Grandville, Wyoming and Grand Rapids on the east side. Delivery is quoted with the order so you see the full number up front.
How do I know what size tent I need?
Give us the guest count and tell us whether people are seated for a meal, standing at cocktail tables or watching a ceremony. Seated dining needs roughly twice the space per person that a standing reception does, and a buffet, bar or dance floor each add to the footprint. We run the math and show you the layout rather than selling you the biggest tent.
What happens if the forecast turns bad?
That is exactly why the tent goes up. Sidewalls can be added late in the week, our crews stake and weight for the wind that comes off the lake, and we watch the forecast with you. Weather has never cancelled a tented event we set up, it has only changed how many sidewalls went on.
Are you insured and does someone deliver and set up?
Yes to both, and the badges at the top of this site back it up. Holland Tent Rentals carries full liability insurance, our crews hold the Advanced Inflatable Safety Operations Certification through SIOTO, the Safe Inflatable Operators Training Organization, and we are members of the Inflatable Operators Association. Our own trained crew handles delivery, setup and teardown, and venues that ask for a certificate of insurance get one.
